Mariners' manager Dan Wilson told reporters on Friday that Cal Raleigh (oblique) will be completely shut down for a week before being reevaluated.

Wilson noted that Raleigh underwent another MRI that came back better than his previous one, which is definitely encouraging. The Mariners are hopeful that he'll only need to miss a couple of weeks. Mitch Garver will continue to handle the bulk of the action behind the plate in Raleigh's absence.
