# Minor League Recap: Ralphy Velazquez blasts a grand slam, Khal Stephen whiffs nine

##### Clippers improve to 16-16
Juan Brito isn’t pouting after being sent down to Triple-A. Instead he blasted his fifth home run of the season, going 1-for-3 with a walk.
Kody Huff also homered, going 2-for-4, while Dayan Frias went 2-for-4 with a double. Mack Collado went 1-for-3 with a double and Juan Benjamin went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base. Stuart Fairchild walked twice.
Starting pitcher Logan Allen had another “meh” appearance, allowing three runs on four hits with six walks and four strikeouts in 3.2 innings. The bullpen was sensational the rest of the way, however.
Will Dion held down the fort, nearly perfect with 3.1 scoreless innings of one-hit ball with no walks and seven strikeouts. Daniel Espino had a scary outing, but stranded the bases loaded for a scoreless inning and Franco Aleman earned the save with a pair of strikeouts in the ninth inning.

Don’t look now but Ralphy Velazquez is heating back up. The powerful prospect went 2-for-4 and slugged his second grand slam of the season, providing all of the offense that Akron would need in the game.
Joe Lampe went 1-for-3 with a double.
Starting pitcher Khal Stephen was excellent, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits with an impressive nine strikeouts and two walks in 6.0 innings.
Connar Rustad was terrific to close out the game, tossing 3.0 scoreless innings to earn the win.
