Raymond Burgos is a 27-year-old Puerto Rican left-handed reliever signed by the Boston Red Sox in May 2026 following his appearance in the 2026 World Baseball Classic and stint with Guerreros de Oaxaca in Mexico's Liga Mexicana de Beisbol. Burgos spent parts of seven seasons in the Cleveland Guardians and San Francisco Giants organizations without securing sustained major league success, and was released by San Francisco in August 2025 before resurfacing in Mexico. The signing represents a bullpen depth move for Boston amid organizational changes following manager Alex Cora's dismissal.
