Spencer Schwellenbach (25-year-old RHP, Atlanta Braves) received a positive evaluation from his doctor and is expected to begin a throwing program soon. He underwent surgery to remove bone spurs from his right elbow and has been ruled out for the first half of the 2026 season. He is on the 60-day injured list and is expected to return sometime after the All-Star break in mid-July. The Braves plan to bring him along slowly during his rehabilitation. In his first two MLB seasons, Schwellenbach posted a 15-11 record with a 3.23 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, 25.2% strikeout rate, and 4.4% walk rate across 234 1/3 innings in 38 starts.
