Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Blake Snell, two-time Cy Young Award winner for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has been sidelined indefinitely with loose bodies in his left elbow requiring potential surgery. This is the third injury placement since signing a five-year, $182 million contract in November 2024. Snell missed the first six weeks of the 2026 season with left shoulder fatigue and inflammation before making his season debut on May 11, 2026. He allowed four earned runs over three innings in that start against Atlanta. He was scratched from his second start on May 17, 2026, after feeling something in the back of his elbow during catch play. Manager Dave Roberts indicated Snell will likely miss significant time and surgery is being considered, though the team remains confident he will return this season.
