Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Chase Dollander, 24-year-old right-hander for the Colorado Rockies, was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow strain/minor UCL sprain. He was pulled from a game against Pittsburgh on May 14, 2026, after just one inning due to arm tightness. MRI revealed minor inflammation around the UCL ligament, avoiding a major injury that would require Tommy John surgery. Dollander avoided the worst-case scenario and is expected to miss approximately one month. Prior to injury, he had a 3.89 ERA with 47 strikeouts in 10 starts (3-3 record) and was being counted on as the Rockies' future ace.
