Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Cubs right-hander Hunter Harvey has suffered a setback in his recovery from triceps inflammation, with an MRI revealing a stress reaction in his triceps area. Harvey will be out of action for at least another month. His last game was April 8, and he's already missed over a month of action. Harvey has a history of injuries throughout his career, having tossed only 189 innings over 186 games since his 2019 MLB debut. In 2025, he pitched only 10 2/3 innings with the Royals due to a teres major strain and Grade 2 adductor strain. The Cubs signed him to a one-year, $6.5MM deal, but he posted a 6.75 ERA over four innings before the triceps issue arose.
