Hoby Milner, a 35-year-old left-handed relief pitcher for the Chicago Cubs, was credited with a blown save on May 6, 2026, during the Cubs' 7-6 extra-inning win over the Reds. Milner entered the game in the ninth inning after Corbin Martin gave up a solo homer and loaded the bases. Despite striking out the first batter, Milner gave up three runs to the next two hitters, resulting in the blown save. With Daniel Palencia returning from the 15-day IL and becoming the Cubs' preferred closer, Milner is unlikely to see many more save opportunities this season.
