Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Jared Wegner (note: appears to be confusion in sources - primarily covers Jordan Westburg of Baltimore Orioles). Westburg underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in May 2026 after suffering a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament. He initially received a platelet-rich plasma injection in February as a conservative treatment option but the injury worsened during rehab. Westburg will miss the entire 2026 season. GM Mike Elias indicated a return as a full player in early 2027 is possible. Westburg is a 27-year-old All-Star (2024) who was already dealing with multiple injuries in 2025 (hamstring, finger, ankle), limiting him to 85 games.
