Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Francisco Lindor has been sidelined since April 22, 2026 with a left calf strain. As of mid-May, he is showing signs of healing and has progressed to the strength/weight room phase before beginning running progression. Manager Carlos Mendoza confirmed positive healing signs but no clear return timeline. Lindor was beginning to heat up offensively before the injury (7-for-17 with 1 HR and 4 RBI over his last 5 games). The Mets have been without several key position players, leaving the team struggling offensively (last in team OPS, second-worst batting average in MLB at .224).
