Athletics shortstop Jacob Wilson suffered a left shoulder subluxation/dislocation on May 10, 2026, while diving for a ground ball hit by Baltimore Orioles' Gunnar Henderson. Wilson was removed from the game in the fifth inning and placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to May 11. MRI confirmed the injury. Wilson is not expected to require surgery and will begin a rehab program. No timetable for return has been established. This injury comes after Wilson signed a 7-year, $70MM extension in the offseason following a strong 2025 rookie season where he finished second in AL Rookie of the Year voting.
