Jake Mangum, Pirates outfielder, was placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to May 6, 2026 with a left hamstring strain. He was scratched from the lineup on May 7 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Pirates GM Ben Cherington expressed optimism that Mangum would return on the shorter end of the IL timeline. Mangum is a versatile outfielder who can play all three outfield positions and has appeared in 28 of the Pirates' 34 games prior to injury.
