Tyler Glasnow, Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher, suffered a low back spasm injury on May 6, 2026, during his start against the Houston Astros. The injury occurred while warming up for the second inning, shortly after recording his 1,000th career strikeout. Initially expected to avoid the IL, Glasnow was subsequently placed on the 15-day injured list on May 8 after his back "flared up" during recovery. Manager Dave Roberts indicated the injury would sideline him much longer than the standard 15 days, though the team reports no long-term structural damage.
