Hayden Wesneski was recalled by the Mets from Triple-A Syracuse to replace Francisco Alvarez on the active roster after Alvarez suffered a meniscus tear in his right knee. Wesneski will serve as backup catcher to Luis Torrens while the Mets deal with multiple injuries across their roster, including Clay Holmes (fractured fibula), Kodai Senga, A.J. Minter, Francisco Lindor, Luis Robert Jr., and Jorge Polanco.
