Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Luis Campusano (note: sources refer to Luis Campusano, not Gustavo Campero) was placed on the 10-day injured list on May 7-8, 2026 after fouling a ball off his left foot during a game against the San Francisco Giants on May 6. He suffered a fractured left big toe. Prior to the injury, Campusano had been performing well offensively, batting .288 with a .958 OPS, 3 home runs, and 10 RBIs across 18 games. Manager Craig Stammen indicated the injury could potentially be played through depending on pain tolerance, but the team opted for the IL stint to allow proper healing. Rodolfo Durán was recalled from Triple-A El Paso to serve as backup catcher during Campusano's absence.
