Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Robby Snelling, the Miami Marlins' No. 2 pitching prospect (ranked No. 29-33 overall), was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 14, 2026, just six days after making his MLB debut. The 22-year-old left-hander reported discomfort in his left elbow following a bullpen session on May 13. In his debut on May 8 against Washington, Snelling allowed 3 runs over 5 innings with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts. Prior to his call-up, he dominated Triple-A Jacksonville with a 3-1 record, 1.86 ERA, 44 strikeouts, and only 11 hits allowed over 29 innings in six starts. The severity of the UCL sprain has not been determined, but if Tommy John surgery is required, he could miss the remainder of 2026 and potentially most of 2027.
