Brandon Lockridge, Milwaukee Brewers left fielder, suffered a serious right knee injury on May 8, 2026, when he crashed into the outfield wall while attempting to catch a foul fly ball hit by Cody Bellinger. The impact resulted in a deep laceration requiring approximately 10 stitches and a bone bruise. Initial X-rays were negative for fractures, but an MRI revealed a bone bruise. Manager Pat Murphy indicated the laceration extended to the bone. Lockridge was placed on the 10-day injured list and is expected to miss until mid- to late-June (approximately 4-6 weeks). Blake Perkins was called up from Triple-A Nashville to fill his roster spot. At the time of injury, Lockridge was hitting .294 with 0 home runs and 12 RBIs, having gone 2-for-2 with an RBI in the game before the injury.
