Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Logan O'Hoppe (note: referred to as "Alex Hoppe" in query, but sources identify him as Logan O'Hoppe) is a 26-year-old catcher for the Los Angeles Angels recovering from a fractured left wrist suffered on April 25, 2026. He completed a rehab assignment with the ACL Angels in mid-May and was activated to return to the lineup by May 16. Before the injury, O'Hoppe was struggling offensively with a .205/.323/.256 slash line (.579 OPS) over 26 games. He reported feeling momentum at the plate in his final series before injury but has experienced wrist irritation upon return. O'Hoppe exited Friday's game early due to left wrist irritation but returned to the lineup Saturday. The Angels' catching depth is thin with backup Travis d'Arnaud also on the IL.
