Summary
Gavin Lux was pulled off his rehab assignment by the Tampa Bay Rays due to a left shoulder injury. He has yet to make his team debut after being acquired from the Reds in the offseason. Lux has battled multiple injuries over recent months including oblique discomfort, right shoulder impingement, and a left ankle injury. He appeared in 21 Triple-A games hitting .200 with 1 HR across 90 plate appearances with 20 walks and 23 strikeouts. Manager Kevin Cash indicated Lux will be out "for the foreseeable future" pending imaging results. The timing is particularly ill for Lux as he enters free agency next winter.
