Austin Pope is a right-handed reliever who spent six seasons in the Arizona Diamondbacks' minor league system before being signed by the Atlanta Braves to a minor league contract in 2025. He was released by the Braves' Triple-A affiliate (Gwinnett Stripers) in February 2026 after posting a 7.50 ERA in 12 innings across nine appearances. Pope had a 4.60 ERA with the Reno Aces in 2024, which was respectable given the offensive-friendly Pacific Coast League environment. He made his MLB debut with Arizona on September 25, 2025, pitching two shutout innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Pope was drafted by the Diamondbacks in the fifth round in 2019 and owns a career minor league ERA of 5.44. He is currently a free agent seeking a new opportunity after his release from Atlanta's organization.
