Summary
Angel Zerpa, 26-year-old left-handed reliever for the Milwaukee Brewers, has been diagnosed with a torn UCL in his left elbow requiring Tommy John surgery. The injury was discovered after he experienced forearm tightness during a game against Pittsburgh on April 25, 2026, showing declining velocity. He was placed on the 15-day IL retroactive to April 26 and underwent elbow reconstruction surgery on May 12, 2026. He is sidelined for the entire 2026 MLB season with hopes to return by spring training 2027.
