Connor Wong, Boston Red Sox catcher, suffered an ankle injury on May 8, 2026 while attempting to catch a pop-up in foul territory against the Philadelphia Phillies. Wong tripped on batter Edmundo Sosa and went down. Initial imaging came back negative for ligament/tendon damage.
