Scouting Report: David Hensley

Overall
Summary
Ryan Helsley, Baltimore Orioles closer, is recovering from right elbow inflammation sustained in late April. As of mid-May 2026, he has progressed to flat-ground throwing work (approximately 30 throws from 75 feet) and is expected to continue this progression for two weeks before a rehab assignment. Medical scans and doctor reviews are encouraging with no ligament damage detected. A mid-June return is feasible, with late May being the hopeful target. Helsley has a 2.53 ERA and 7 saves in 12 appearances prior to injury.
