Summary
Carlos Rodón underwent left elbow surgery in October 2025 to remove loose bodies and shave a bone spur. He experienced a setback in late March with right hamstring tightness. After completing three minor league rehab starts (4.1 IP, 5.1 IP, and 6.1 IP), Rodón was activated from the 15-day IL and made his 2026 debut start against the Milwaukee Brewers. The three-time All-Star had an exceptional 2025 season with a 3.09 ERA over 195.1 innings with 203 strikeouts, a 1.05 WHIP, and 3.2 fWAR. He increased his groundball rate by 10% and significantly reduced home runs allowed. The Yankees' rotation has been the best in baseball with a 3.01 ERA despite Rodón and Gerrit Cole's absences.
