Edwin Díaz, a three-time All-Star closer signed to a three-year, $69 million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers in December 2025, was transferred to the 60-day injured list on May 10, 2026, after undergoing arthroscopic elbow surgery on April 22 to remove loose bodies from his right elbow. The 32-year-old had a disastrous 2026 debut, posting a 10.50 ERA across seven appearances before the injury became apparent.
