Summary
Mychal Givens was placed on the 15-day injured list with left elbow inflammation. The inflammation is located on the outside/back side of the elbow and triceps area, which is more favorable than inside elbow damage that could indicate ligament issues. Manager Craig Albernaz indicated this may not be a long-term injury. Givens received a cortisone shot to address the inflammation. He exited his previous start early after only 43 pitches due to the discomfort.
