Zach McKinstry activated from IL after Grade 3 oblique tear off pelvic bone sustained April 15 from three separate collisions with Jac Caglianone. Remarkably recovered in ~3 weeks instead of typical 6-8 week recovery. Specialist indicated optimal location for injury. McKinstry able to throw immediately and reached 80% sprint speed by Day 6. Returned to lineup May 5 at third base batting eighth vs Red Sox. Manager AJ Hinch expressed excitement about his return given his quality and versatility.
