Summary
James McCann, backup catcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks, was placed on the 10-day injured list on May 19, 2026, due to a strained right quadriceps suffered during Monday's 12-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants. McCann entered the game as a defensive replacement in the eighth inning and was removed after beating out an infield single. Manager Torey Lovullo indicated the IL stint was likely after the game.
