Austin Pope is a right-handed reliever who was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2019 (5th round). After six seasons in Arizona's minor league system, he signed with the Atlanta Braves as a minor league free agent in 2026. Pope was released by the Braves after posting a 7.50 ERA in 12 innings (9 appearances) for Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers. In 2025 with the Reno Aces (PCL), he posted a 4.60 ERA, which earned him a late-season MLB call-up. Pope made his MLB debut on September 25 with Arizona, pitching 2 shutout innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers. His career minor league ERA stands at 5.44.
