Summary

Trey Gibson, a top pitching prospect for the Orioles, was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on May 8, 2026 to fill a roster spot after Cade Povich was placed on the 15-day IL with left elbow inflammation. Gibson made his MLB debut on May 3 against the Yankees, allowing 3 runs across 4.2 innings. He was subsequently used in long relief on May 10 against the Athletics, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits (including 2 HRs) and 3 walks while striking out 4 across 6.2 frames.
