Los Angeles Dodgers | RP

C

Overall

IL-60

Summary

Edwin Díaz, a three-time All-Star closer signed to a three-year, $69 million contract by the Los Angeles Dodgers in December 2025, was transferred to the 60-day injured list on May 10, 2026. Díaz underwent arthroscopic surgery on April 22, 2026 to remove loose bodies from his right elbow after initially being placed on the 15-day IL on April 20. His 2026 debut season was disastrous, posting a 10.50 ERA across seven appearances before the injury, including a particularly poor outing on April 20 against the Colorado Rockies where he failed to record an out while allowing three runs. He is not expected to return until after the All-Star break in mid-July at the earliest. The Dodgers' bullpen has actually performed better without him, posting a 2.68 ERA since his injury (best in MLB during that span).
