Summary
26-year-old left-handed reliever Angel Zerpa acquired by Milwaukee Brewers from Kansas City Royals in December 2025 (traded Isaac Collins and Nick Mears). Zerpa was diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his left elbow requiring Tommy John surgery. He was placed on the 15-day IL retroactive to April 26, 2026, after experiencing forearm tightness during a game against Pittsburgh Pirates on April 25. His last outing was in the 10th inning when catcher William Contreras noticed something was off.
