Summary
Braxton Garrett was recalled to the majors on May 14, 2026, after Robby Snelling suffered a sprained UCL (partial tear) requiring IL placement. Garrett has been recovering from Tommy John surgery in 2024 and made six Triple-A starts with a 2.30 ERA (later reported as 1.66 ERA in April). He showed improved fastball velocity and increased swinging strike rate in the minors. Garrett made his 2026 MLB debut on May 14 against the Twins but only lasted 1.1 innings. He has a track record of success in the majors with a 3.66 ERA in 159.2 innings in 2023 before his elbow injury.
