Eric Wagaman, 28-year-old infielder/outfielder, was designated for assignment by the Mets on May 3, 2026, and subsequently outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse after clearing waivers. He was claimed off waivers from the Minnesota Twins in late April but never appeared in a game for the Mets. Wagaman has struggled at the MLB level, posting a combined .250/.293/.381 slash line with an 85 wRC+ across 588 plate appearances with the Angels (2024) and Marlins (2025). In Triple-A this season, he has a .191/.317/.294 slash line in 20 games.
