Scouting Report: Aaron Judge
New York Yankees | RF
Overall
Summary
Aaron Judge, 34-year-old Yankees right fielder, is having an exceptional 2026 season. Through early May, he has posted a .270 batting average, .401 on-base percentage, 1.044 OPS, 15 home runs (MLB-leading), and 29 RBIs across 37 games. Judge is on pace for 66 home runs, which would break his own AL record of 62 set in 2022. He recently passed Freddie Freeman on the active career WAR leaderboard and is ranked third overall behind only Mookie Betts and Mike Trout. Manager Aaron Boone noted Judge is "playing a different game than the rest." With teammates Giancarlo Stanton (right calf strain) and Jasson Dominguez (left shoulder sprain) on the injured list, Judge is receiving more starts at designated hitter to preserve his health while maintaining elite offensive production. Judge continues to be the driving force behind the Yankees' elite offense and is widely regarded as the best hitter of his generation with three AL MVP awards.
