Sean Murphy, 31-year-old Braves catcher, placed on 10-day IL with fractured left middle finger sustained on May 11 during catcher's interference play against Dodgers. Expected to miss 8 weeks total. Murphy recently returned from hip labrum surgery (September 2025) and made season debut May 4. In four games back, he went 1-for-14 with 6 strikeouts. Chronic injury issues have plagued Murphy since 2024, limiting him to fewer than 95 games in both 2024 and 2025. Sandy León signed to replace him on roster.
