Scouting Report: Brock Rodden
Seattle Mariners | SS
Overall
Summary
Brock Stewart, 34-year-old right-handed reliever for the Los Angeles Dodgers, was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 9, 2026, with a bone spur in his left foot. This marks another setback for Stewart, who had just returned from shoulder surgery late in 2025 and made only two appearances this season (0 runs allowed, 3 strikeouts in 6.1 innings). Stewart had been dealing with the bone spur since the beginning of the season but aggravated it while covering first base. He was previously acquired by the Dodgers from the Minnesota Twins at last year's trade deadline and had a dominant 2.38 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 34 innings with Minnesota before shoulder issues limited his effectiveness with LA (4.91 ERA in 3.2 innings). Stewart completed a successful rehab assignment with 6.1 scoreless innings and 13 strikeouts across eight games before his latest injury.
Strengths
- Strong rehab performance with 13 strikeouts in 6.1 scoreless innings across 8 games
- Excellent velocity maintained during rehab (95.5 mph four-seam fastball, 94.8 mph sinker)
