Jackson Holliday, 22-year-old Baltimore Orioles second baseman and 2022 first overall pick, has missed the entire 2026 season due to a fractured right hamate bone suffered during spring training (February 6). After undergoing surgery on February 12, Holliday has experienced multiple setbacks during three separate rehab assignments, including lingering pain and overcompensation issues in his wrist. He is currently on his third rehab assignment with Double-A Chesapeake, hitting .176/.250/.235 in 14 minor league games. The Orioles are cautiously optimistic he can return to action soon, with plans to give him reps at third base for defensive versatility.
