Scouting Report: Jeremy Rivas
St Louis Cardinals | SS
Overall
Summary
Jeremy Rivas (note: sources reference both "Leo Rivas" and "Jeremy Rivas") has struggled significantly with the Seattle Mariners in 2026. After serving as the primary third baseman during Brendan Donovan's injury absence, Rivas has been relegated to a backup/utility role upon Donovan's return. His offensive performance has been extremely poor, batting .141 with a .131/.263/.172 line, ranking in the bottom 1% of the league in xwOBA, xBA, and xSLG. Over 112 plate appearances, he has accumulated only 2 stolen bases, 7 RBI, and 8 runs with no home runs. The Mariners have optioned him to Tacoma as they no longer have need for his services with Colt Emerson up for good.
