Scouting Report: Sean Keys
Toronto Blue Jays | 3B
Overall
Summary
Sean Keys, 22-year-old third baseman/infielder and 2024 fourth-round draft pick out of Bucknell, is having a breakout 2026 season at Double-A New Hampshire. Through 24 games, he's slashing .310/.429/.667 with 9 home runs and 22 RBI, posting the best batting line among 87 hitters with 100+ PA in AA leagues. Keys made a strong impression in spring training (6-for-31 with 1 HR in 19 Grapefruit League games) and has significantly improved his swing mechanics by reducing pre-swing movement and simplifying his approach. His offensive calling card is power generation from an uppercut swing designed to pull balls hard in the air. Blue Jays manager John Schneider praised his hitting ability and approach. Keys is being discussed as a potential Triple-A candidate and possibly even a 2026 MLB debut candidate if production continues.
