Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Carlos Rodón underwent left elbow surgery in October 2025 to remove loose bodies and shave down a bone spur. He completed a rehab assignment with three minor league starts, building up to 6.1 innings in his final Triple-A appearance on May 6, 2026. Despite allowing 5 earned runs in that last rehab outing, Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed Rodón is on track to make his 2026 season debut on Sunday, May 10 against the Milwaukee Brewers. Rodón will slot into the Yankees' rotation in a mid-rotation role. The 33-year-old was a three-time All-Star in 2025 with a 3.09 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 203 strikeouts over 195.1 innings, representing his best season with the Yankees. He has an overall career ERA of 3.73 across his time with the White Sox, Giants, and Yankees.
