Kody Clemens -- Performance Analysis

Kody Clemens has transformed into a legitimate base-stealing threat for the Minnesota Twins following their organization-wide green light to run established in August 2025. Prior to joining the Twins approximately one year ago, Clemens accumulated just one stolen base across 218 career games. Since the green light was implemented, he has stolen 8 bases in 12 attempts over 56 games, demonstrating a dramatic reversal in his approach to the base paths.

Early in the 2026 season, Clemens is 3-for-5 in stolen base attempts, currently tied for the team lead with Luke Keaschall. Manager Derek Shelton and base-running coach Grady Sizemore prioritized carrying the aggressive base-running philosophy into the new season, extending it beyond simple theft to include improved reads on advancing first-to-third on outfield hits and forcing pitchers into additional pickoff attempts.
